When it comes to equipment, BITE has spared no expense. BITE has state of the art computers and laptops in the Centre with the latest cutting edge software applications.

The Institute is committed to the practical exploitation of teaching and learning technology on all its courses.

At BITE's Avicenna House Campus, there are five computer laboratories, containing more than 400 PCs, most of them with flat screen TFT monitors.




A whole spectrum of software including office tools, compilers, browsers, as well as specialist database, data mining, and systems analysis/design software are installed on all machines. All the client machines have Windows Operating Systems and there are postscript laser printers and line printers in all labs.

A number of Linux servers provide file storage, domain-wide services, databases and web development tools as well as other commercial or public domain packages.
